Applications for the 31st board are open!

The Landelijk overlegorgaan bestuurskundeverenigingen (LOB) is an umbrella organization that facilitates consultation and contact between all Public Administration study associations in the Netherlands. We organize General Assemblies every six weeks for knowledge exchange, after which we have dinner and drinks with our members. In addition, we organize national events such as the Public Administration Challenge and the annual LOB weekend for our members. Because the LOB is a national organization, as a board member you must be willing to travel for meetings, social events, conferences, and other activities.

A board year at the LOB is voluntary and the workload varies depending on your position and the time of year. An LOB board year lasts one year and runs from January 2026 to January 2027.

On average, you will spend 5 to 8 hours per week on LOB-related activities, depending on the period of the year and excluding the weeks in which you organize events. A board year at the LOB can easily be combined with a full-time study and a social life! Of course, as a board you are a team, so you can count on the support of your fellow board members if you yourself have a very busy period.

Read below for the specific tasks and requirements per position.
